An update this weekend from the drop zone!
This weekend was a battle with Mother Nature. With thunderclouds in the forecast all day Saturday, we managed to jump until the late afternoon with only minor delays. Sunday turned out to be very similar.
What a better way to celebrate your anniversary then to jump from ten thousand feet! Congratulations to the couples who celebrated it this weekend with Skydive Toronto. We were happy to be a part of it!
Just a reminder to the jumpers who are working towards their Coach 1, we have a tentative date booked for Scott to come and instruct it. Remember: First come, first serve!
We have a new pilot among us; welcome Dave Manson to the STI Team. We look forward to seeing you in the skies with us!
Also, a quick reminder that this Saturday night is the DZ’s Tiki Torch Party! This party is open to the public, and free camping will be available on site. A Caribbean themed Potluck dinner will be available also, so come prepared with your Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts and coconut bras! We hope to see you there!
We just wanted to point out a couple of our shining stars. Scott Weaire just received his tandem rating, and is now able to take Tandem Skydivers on their first adventures. We also have two staff that are now doing Tandem Skydives and video. Congratulations Jamie Brooks and Chad Leslie.
Just a reminder to give the DZ a call when you are ready to jump with us, or to jump again!
May 31st to June 2nd
Just an update this week from the DZ!
The past weekend was a battle with Mother Nature. Giving us a little opening on Saturday, we unfortunately could not get all of our students up. To those who spent the day with us and did not jump, we look forward to seeing you again in the near future.
Sunday was also a busy day, and although the weather was uncooperative for the morning, we did get all of the students up. To all those students, come back and visit us when you are ready to complete your next jump.
Also, we just want to mention what a fantastic staff we have for battling the weather with us. Your patience is always appreciated.
Monday turned out to be just as busy! With the weather finally in favour, many students got to experience their first jump at Skydive Toronto. Among those was Nick Nemeczek, an 80 year old who began jumping out of planes in World War 2. To all those who are afraid of jumping, call Nick and he may be able to help you with your fears!
Just a reminder that the drop zone is now open six days a week, so give us a call to make your reservation today!
